Urgent Specialists is the only urgent care center you, your family and your friends will ever want to go to. Urgent Specialists provides all the normal urgent care services you would expect but that’s just the beginning. We are also dedicated to making a big change in how care is provided in Tucson and the rest of the country. Our staff is trained by Ear, Nose and Throat, Orthopedic and Ophthalmology specialist physicians. These same doctors are also on call to assist the staff in diagnoses and treatment. They are even available to see patients and perform procedures so an emergency room visit is rarely necessary. Sound interesting and exciting? It is! Read on to learn about being part of our team.
The Certified Medical Assistant supports the clinical staff in the delivery of patient care by assisting with patient preparation, providing comfort measures, educating patients, and taking health histories. The Medical Assistant also provides clerical support to the Advanced Nurse Practitioners. Medical Assistant will also be cross trained to work in the front office when coverage is needed.
The Radiology Technologist supports the clinical staff in the delivery of patient care by assisting with patient preparation, providing information to diagnose patient illnesses by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs and facilitate PAC access so that Radiologist or other licensed practitioners may read films. The Radiology Technologist performs radiographic procedures within Urgent Specialists in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Radiology Technologist also supports the daily operations of rooming patients, admitting patients to the facility and notifying patients of radiology results for a multitude of exams. The Radiology Technologist is accountable for preparing and maintaining radiology supplies and equipment according to established policies and procedures. Additionally, every employee is cross trained. Between x-rays employee will be responsible for the front desk position including; Patient check-in/check-out, answering phones, taking payments, reviewing patient insurance information and collecting copay/deducible, etc.
