Dr. Jason Amato was born in St. Louis and attended St. Louis University High School, Washington University in St. Louis, and St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Amato did his residency training in the St. Louis University Department of Dermatology, where he served as chief resident. He specializes in cosmetic, general, and surgical dermatology.

Dr. Amato is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and multiple other professionals and charitable organizations.

Dr. Amato and his wife Jennifer have two children, Jack, and Julia.

Dr. Scott Hardeman is a private practice Otolaryngologist. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Louis University Medical Center. He has been in private practice for nearly twenty years. He was the lead physician on the development and merger of multiple solo practices, forming one the largest Otolaryngology private practice groups in the Midwest. Senthil Krishnasamy, MD

Dr. Krishnasamy graduated with honors from the University of Iowa College of Medicine where he was awarded the Barry Freeman Memorial Fellowship to study medicine in the developing world. Ranjan P. Malhotra, MD

Dr. Ranjan P. Malhotra was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City and graduated with honors in 1995. He completed his internship at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, followed by his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Malhotra chose to further specialize in Cornea/External Disease and Refractive Surgery.

He is board-certified in the field of Ophthalmology.

In 2000, when he joined Ophthalmology Associates in a partnership with Dr. Gregg Berdy.
He has satellite offices in Sullivan and St. Peter’s, Missouri. He served as a board member for the Missouri Society of Eye Physicians and for the St. Louis Chapter of the Indian Medical Council/ American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. Dr. Malhotra is involved in charitable causes as well.

Dr. Malhotra and his wife, Dr. Kristen Malhotra, Dr. Malhotra’s favorite activity is traveling with his family. He also enjoys exercising, golf, and the study of wine.

He continued his education by attending the University of Missouri – St. Louis School of Optometry where he graduated from in 1993 as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, an International Optometric Honor Society. Following his graduation from optometry school, he completed a 1-year accredited Fellowship in Ocular Disease. Dr. Brusatti has special interest in dry eyes, glaucoma, ocular allergies, diabetes and cataract care.

Andrew P. Royer, PD

Dr. Andrew Royer is from Good Hope, IL, a small town, in West Central Illinois.  Andrew graduated with honors from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN earning his Doctor of Optometry degree.
Dr. Royer joined our Ophthalmology Associates family as an Associate Doctor in 2014. 


Dr. Royer is our in-office Contact Lens Specialist, specializing in Multifocal Contact Lenses, hard to fit Keratoconus and Post-Graft cases.  Dr. Royer also actively diagnoses and treats patients with Glaucoma, Cataracts, Dry Eye Disease, Allergic Conjunctivitis, Diabetic Retinopathy, Fuch’s Corneal Endothelial Dystrophy and Macular Degeneration to name a few.

Personally, Dr. Royer is to Christina Royer and have three children. Dr. Royer’s favorite hobby is spending time with his family.  He also enjoys golf, hiking, hunting and jeeping.  

Gregg J. Berdy, MD

Dr. Gregg Berdy is a graduate of Duke University and attended St. Louis University School of Medicine. His postgraduate training was in ophthalmology with a residency at St. Louis University.  This was followed by a cornea and external disease fellowship at the Kellogg Eye Center of the University of Michigan and then by a cornea and ocular allergy fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Harvard University.  Dr. Berdy began his private practice in 1990. Dr. Berdy has been the principal or co-author of twenty-five publications in the ophthalmic literature and has authored four chapters in ophthalmic textbooks.

Doctor Berdy is involved with the ophthalmology teaching program at Washington University where he serves as attending physician in the resident clinic. He was elected to membership in the prestigious Castroviejo Corneal Society (now known as The Cornea Society) as one of approximately 250 members worldwide.

Berdy is an ophthalmologist who strives to achieve excellence in patient care, clinical research, and teaching.
